The Spunkhearts are an enthusiastic and vivacious adventuring guild hailing from the heart of Bradstowe, the capital city of The Isles of Orlend. They describe and advertise themselves as trophy hunters, exterminators, and your best drinking buddies. They are known for taking down the biggest beasts in the land and the largest infestations in the city. But, perhaps best of all, they are famous for their celebratory fun and games after a successful job - everyone's invited!

Origins

Originally a close-knit group of farmers and hunters, the guild started out as a just a group of friends that shared the same outlook on life. Their base of operations is the Hungry Hound pub in the center of Bradstowe, just the other side of Old Bridge. They practically inherited the place after the previous owner hired them to get rid of some rats in the cellar that had grown to the size of small dogs and were becoming too dangerous to ignore. The Spunkhearts formed officially right in the midst of The Rupture, when a group of friends had their drink & dice interrupted by a monstrosity charging in at them from a nearby rift. After despatching their foe so quickly, they went on to help as many people as they could within the city and were soon called local heroes for their bravery.

In a world full of grim news all the time, we Spunkhearts want a reason to smile. We may mock our own name, but we live up to it too! We all have courageous hearts, every one of us. We face our adventures fist first, taking on bigger foes every time. We enjoy nothing more than cracking open some ribs with the gang, be it fresh in the fight or slow roasted and covered in honey.

Goals

The Spunkhearts are looking to close a deal with Bradstowe University to open a brand new museum full of trophies, specimens, and taxidermy of strange new creatures in the many realms beyond the rifts.

Structure

The leader of the Spunkhearts guild is always referred to as the Cockerel and the title carries the same weight as leader, boss, or captain. The origin of the title came from two meanings. The first and foremost is that the first carrier of the title, Jihmmy Two-Tooth was the biggest prick out of all the group - so people had already been calling him a cock so much that it just stuck. The second meaning of the title was that despite his personality, old Jihmmy Two-Tooth would never fail to be up before the sun was and would bellow at the top of his voice like a rooster to make sure that everyone was up bright and early to face the next day. Thus, the name Cockerel became the title passed on to each leader of the Spunkhearts ever since.

Jihm (known only as Jihmmy) is the current leader of the group. He has trouble pronouncing many words and eventually became known as Jihmmy Two-Tooth for the two yellow stubs of teeth he had left on his bottom row. Some folks also called him Jihmmy Toot-Toot because he held no shame in letting one rip after a hearty meal.
