The Shadow Lounge

The ruins of a popular adult entertainment lounge currently undergoing repair & rejuvenations.

The Shadow Lounge was once a popular adult entertainment club on the edge of the South Quarter district of Bradstowe, capital of The Isles of Orlend. It was destroyed during the colossal damage of The Rupture that ruined the world of Melior on Thirday, 10th of Darkfall 514 3A.
The club is currently being reclaimed by Redhilts Gang in a collaboration with funding from The Spunkhearts, who wholeheartedly supported the idea of resurrecting the establishment.

Rebuilding

Fifty years of weathering and rain has not done the structure any favours since its destruction, but hard working folk are keen for an opportunity to tidy up and rejuvenate yet another ruined part of the city. The workers toil away for long hours shifting rubble and working under dangerous conditions to remove the unstable parts of the building ready for new timber joists to come in. Their pay is meagre, but they're fed by the local soup kitchen that's just down the next street.

The Redhilts Agenda

The Redhilts Gang are in control of the Highcross district in Bradstowe. So far, they’ve revamped the derelict pub into their unofficial ‘guild hall’ but they have much bigger plans in mind and ultimately would like to gain greater influence over the city.

Competitive Establishments

Once it's open for business once more, The Shadow Lounge will be in minor competition with The Bearded Clam, a popular brothel frequented by fisherfolk that is only a few streets away.   On the same road, The Crow Bar might lose a few patrons, but overall it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Events & Functions

When the lounge re-opens it will serve as a dual functioning bar and brothel, with private rooms and upper chambers available for those with more coin. The original basement dungeons of The Shadow Lounge remained intact and just need refitting with plush interiors and themed rooms.

I love the details and also love how you handle secrets and graphic content. It feels rewarding to investigate and learn about how to identify redhilts. Your world is always stunning and the writing is awesome as well.

I'm sensing a theme in the WE posts I've read from you so far!   I really like the fact that this is a ruined building that is being rebuilt - and I like that it's being rebuilt for the same purpose as before. I love the HeroForge figure too! :D

Plush interiors, TJ? PLUSH? Did this fine folk consider how hard will it be to clean that out??? I'm talking about the faun hair sticking everywhere of course. I would love to see that dungeon once it reopens though :p

I liked very much the tailor-made room for the larger creatures! Nice article but that's not something unusual!

Now, that comes into my mind... Do larger creatures have as well dedicated staff for their services or do they go with smaller creatures? I ask for a friend of mine...

Ah yes! Your friend will be delighted to hear that there's good staff rotation, with different types of folk available on different days of the week ;)
