Founded by the Ulmaatans in UGY 4263. The Osiryx Federation was originally an offshoot of the Ulmaatan Prime Association focused on law enforcement and medical treatment. Being the first ones capable of space travel and intergalactic travel, Ulmaatans were the sole members of the Osiryx Federation up until UGY 4676. After this point, Dreggan and Zarcanians had achieved the same feat of intergalactic travel and the Osiryx Federation opened up its recruiting process to non-Ulmaat members.

This eventually led to the Osiryx Federation becoming an independent organisation. They are the current law enforcing authority in Osiron; any decisions made by other law enforcement agencies, such as the Terra Novus Police Service branch of the Terra Novus organisation, can be overturned by the Osiryx Federation if they deem it necessary.

Ranks in the Osiryx Federation

Li’Oncorda

The highest ranking officials in the OF. Li’Oncorda are handpicked by their predecessors. Usually, they are picked from the Inquar (the second highest ranking officials in OF) and are trained for years, right up until their predecessors death or retirement.

Li’Oncorda have the power to overturn any decision made regarding law enforcement. This includes recruitment, sentencing (both within OF and through other law enforcement agencies), demotions or promotions, amongst other things. They don’t determine new laws, but they have the final say on whether a new law is passed or not, and they also have the power to remove outdated laws.

Inquar

The second highest ranking officials in the OF, answering only to the Li’Oncorda. Inquar are given a lot of free reign in their position to oversee the day to day workings of the OF. They share many of the same powers that the Li’Oncorda do, but they are unable to overturn a decision made by an outside law enforcement agency. If they feel as though a decision needs to be overturned, they require permission from a Li’Oncorda to do so.

As they are more active in regards to every day law enforcement, the Inquar are capable of defining new laws. Such a process is a long and arduous task filled with a lot of paperwork and an Inquar must submit the new law to all Li’Oncorda in order for it to be passed. Currently, there isn’t much need for the Inquar to define new laws as the ones they have already satisfactorily cover crimes committed in Osiron.

Alkor

The third highest rank in the OF. Alkor oversee battalions of OF agents. Each battalion can consist of up to a hundred squadrons, though there have been a few rare occasions where an Alkor has commanded more than this.

Where Inquar and Li’Oncorda tend to remain at a base of operations, Alkor command entire fleets from their own ships. These ships are known as Dawn-crowns and can hold up to thirty OF squadron vessels (which themselves can hold anywhere between five and ten smaller ships, depending on size). These Dawn-crowns tend to have a very threatening image to other space farers due to their looming size, making Alkor some of the most feared leaders in the OF and Osiron as a whole.

S’icarda

These are squadron leaders that answer to their respective Alkor. It is not often that a S’icarda will be required to meet with an Inquar or a Li’Oncorda, but it is also not unheard of in special circumstances.

S’icarda command up to 20 squads in their squadron. They will work closely with other S’icarda in order to fulfill their duties. Usually, a S’icarda and their squadron are assigned to a certain area, which they are to patrol and enforce OF laws in.
