Pops

Let's go and get a pop, I saw a vending machine in the corner.
Merrin to Grim
This is the most common sweet on The Station. It is flavored ice in a paper tube that is pushed up to be eaten. It can be purchased from Vending machines or small corner stores. Compared to most other sweets, it's very cheap.   Several brands are selling these, but they are collectively called pops or ice pops on The Station.

History

As there are many different companies with this product, there are many histories for this type of product around the Universe. But the first company that established itself on The Station was a company that created its pops under the brand name of “Ice Squeezies” on the planet of Rant. When the product was created around 578 years ago, it wasn’t popular—not until a celebrity accidentally ate one and enjoyed it.   The product came to The Station around 499 years ago and was an immediate hit among adults because it contained less sugar than the other sweets. This is still true today.   The kids enjoyed pressing the pops up from their paper tube containers but didn't like the flavors that much in the beginning. Now the pops are popular among most demographics of The Station.

Flavors

There are as many flavors of pop as there are stars in the universe. The most common flavors on The Starion are Neion, a popular fruit from Areu, and Cotton Candy, the original flavor from Rant. This flavor was a popular candy flavor back when the Ice Squeezies were created. The flavor isn’t popular on Rant anymore, but it is still popular on The Station.   There are also a couple of other flavors that rise and fall in popularity on The Station, but overall, fruit flavors are more common than artificial ones.

Ingredients

The ingredients depend on the brands and the flavors. The natural fruit, berry, and herb flavors mostly only use those along with acidity regulators and stabilizers, while artificial flavors like Cotton Candy and others are made with artificial ingredients.

Nutrition

One pop usually contains 70-80 calories and 15g of sugar, which is much less than the other sweets available on The Station.
