Selva
Selva is a lupen Existential Risks Directorate agent with a specialization in primitive civilizations, such as pre-spaceflight aliens and lost colonies.
Along with fellow XRD agent Mara Vela, she organized the Meridian Expedition and led it while it was on the planet. Afterwards, she presumably returned to her work in the Directorate.

Selva has cybernetic implants which enable her to interact with and control many types of computerized devices. When the Meridian Expedition visited the Iron Mountain, she was able to interface with its computers and lock Norla out of controlling the replicator fleet in orbit of the planet.

Personal history
Much of her personal history is presumably classified and she spoke of it little, to the point where Eric Conrad wondered whether XRD agents have most of their extraneous memories temporarily redacted before they go on missions.
Trouble started almost immediately when the group was ambushed by the Savage Hunters of the Outlands and a pack of raptors shortly after landing, only managing to find lasting refuge once they reached the city of Highwater Mountain. Selva's assistance in defending this city against an attack from Dulane's forces earned the Expedition the trust of its lords and the rest of the Druza Freeholds, giving them the ability to further carry out their mission.
While aboard a sailing ship several months later, Selva and the other Expedition members ave for Rachel Klayton and Sir Wotoc's squires, were taken captive by a fleet of Arztillan triremes and transported to the capital. There, they met Caesar himself and were sentenced to death in a gladiator fight against dinosaurs. With her help, they managed to escape and were eventually picked up by sky-pirate Captain Prex.
The Meridian Expedition's mission culminated in an aerial battle with the forces of Caesar Dulane over the Arztillan capital, after which they confronted Dulane and the Keeper Norla inside the former's palace. Selva chased Norla from the palace and into a nearby temple, where Norla attempted to make good her escape by slamming shut a door. This instead locked her in a room with a Tyrannosaurus rex, which shortly devoured her and put a final end to the Keepers.
After this, the Expedition was largely disbanded and Selva departed the planet to rejoin the XRD.
Meridian Expedition
In 173 she helped organize the Meridian Expedition, consisting of Terran Classics professor Fyodor Temerin and several of his students, for the purposes of traveling to the lost world Meridian to stop Caesar Dulane, a conqueror whose activities were disrupting the Stellar Compact's at recontact and technological uplift.
