Iron Law of Memetics

"With enough persuasion, people will believe anything."   A common aphorism in the science of memetics, the so-called Iron Law reflects the fact that virtually all known intelligent species are social creatures, and hence have a strong peer-influence instinct which can be used to subvert reasoning by appealing to pre-existing biases and cognitive flaws. A skilled memetic engineer can make facts secondary to feelings when spreading their agenda, easily convincing most individuals to change their beliefs in a desired way.
