Memetics

The science of ideas and their spread between people. Within memetics, an individual idea is dubbed a meme, and a group of memes a "meme complex" or memeplex. Memeplexes make up components of things such as cultures, traditions, and political ideologies.

Memetic engineering is the manipulation and deliberate spread of ideas, whether for good or ill.
