Sailing Ship

The lifeblood of the maritime trade and exploration are the various Sailing Vessels. One of the more plentiful vessels in the oceans of the world, each sailing ship, tends to have its quirks and specialties as does each captain.

Propulsion

Sailing Ships require wind to power their three sails (Aft, Midship, and Forward). Unlike the Galley or Warship, the Sailing Ship has no Oars to help with gaining momentum when the winds are low.

Weapons & Armament

Most Sailing Ships come without a standard armament, as they are generally trade vessels. When sailing in dangerous waters in which conflict may arise, some Sailing ships are equipped with a Ballista in the forecastle and Mangonel on the main deck.
