Fairy Fount

Fairy Fount, is (in)famous or it would be if anyone actually knew where it was. This small village hidden away in the Verolc Archipelago is the primary source for the world's supply of the drug known as "pixie dust". A literal 'cottage' industry the drug has been a major source of revenue for the thieves' guild that manufacturers it to the point they've largely stopped actually thieving as the return on investment is better from the dust business.

Demographics

Mostly adults, few families or children about due to the nature of the village's 'resources' and need for secrecy.

Government

Due to its location Fairy Fount, technically is governed by the Empire, and more locally by the Council of Verolc. However, as they operate completely outside the law this sleepy little village is actually governed by their guild and the Pirate Lords.

Defences

The natural terrain and secrecy of their operations are their primary defenses though as guild members most of the residents can more than handle themselves in a combat scenario.

Industry & Trade

Fairy Fount's only industries and exports center on pixie dust: breeding the fairies, extraction of the raw materials, production and refinement processes, and finally shipment to their greater distribution network.

Guilds and Factions

Operated by the thieves' guild under the guise of a livestock mercantile business, all the residents are guild members of assorted rank and will protect or erase the operation to protect the greater interests of the guild.

Architecture

Simple farming village in terms of layout and composition, timber constructed buildings.

Geography

The village is located in a deep, difficult to access rock pit style valley surrounded by sheer craggy hills even from above it's easy to miss the existence of the valley entirely. The valley has a fresh water waterfall feeding into a small lagoon at one end. The hills that encircle the valley themselves sit in a large forest further isolating the location from prying eyes and accidental visitors.

Natural Resources

In addition to the surrounding forest and fresh water source, the location of the village prior to its founding and expansion was a natural safe haven for fairies, the creature from which the drug 'pixie dust' is actually derived this made it the logical place to establish operations as the fairies were already there and were naturally drawn to the location.
