The Blackdome
The Blackdome is a small city in the Grimdos Highlands overruled by House Galiel. The city is named so because of the defense mechanism caused by the eldest of House Galiel, Matriarch Thessa. In the scenario of an attack on the city, a magical dome barrier goes over the city and cannot be displaced until the deactivation words are uttered. When the city is placed in the dome, it gives it a Shadowfell-esque look and feel to it. The magic used for creating the barrier was given to them by an ancient figure from House Cerulea in Mareen.
The Grimdos Highlands act as a natural deterrent for any large armies trying to scale them to reach the city. Located very high in the mountains, The Blackdome has access to a fresh stream that comes off of the evermelting peak above. From the city, the meteorite field it is destined to guard can be seen far off in the distance as well as the Gulf of Raelia.
