The Hunger Begins Through The Meteor

During the excavation of the large meteor, a large pulse rocked the entire kingdom. Everyone who was in possession or proximity of the meteorite fragments became unhinged and almost animalistic. The downfall of civilization began.

During the year 395 BC, the half-giant king Drakos Hammerfell ordered the excavation of the main meteor that crashed down in the Unknown Wilds close to the Great Lake of Odessa. About a hundred workers went to the site, but none had return. This was a day for dread.     The meteorites that littered The Western Territory were only at most the size of a small boulder. The meteor that landed near the Great Lake was 100 feet tall with a 50 foot diameter. During the excavation, the mining crew managed to reach the core, but dark energy spilled from the meteor corrupting everything in the immediate area with the Hunger. A second, stronger shockwave erupted from the meteor that stretched to all corners of the kingdom. Within a day or two, most of the kingdom’s population that were near the meteorite fragments became infected. All out anarchy and war broke out.
