In a dark ritual, a raven shaman of the Koryaks raised the first vampire of the Koryaks. He was created in order to combat some ancient beast that was threatening the fishers and their primary source of food. Kaynyn ultimately succeeded in defeating the sea monster and was hailed as a hero. However, over the years folks started to mistrust him as they realized, that he needed human blood to sustain his existence.
