Demise of Edwistburg

On one fateful night in summer, King Sumphyr of Wahstrehite issued a command for his Wahstrehite Knights to go forth and execute a grim task. They mounted their horses and marched into Edwistburg with torches and great weaponry. Heavily armored, the unsuspecting Ealdenstead of Edwistburg was no match for the terrible army. The knights arrived into the settlement which was the closest to Wahstrehite out of all the districts of Wynsumheord. The knights looted the villages, took peasants as slaves, stole animals, slaughtered, ravaged, and took advantage of many many unfortunate villagers.   They marched up to the great cathedral of Edwistburg and defiled it, defaming and vandalizing the entire Church of Edwistburg . They bum-rushed the clergy and the Shallums. They destroyed the flags and banners. They shattered the stained glass windows. They erected emblems and banners that donned the crest of Wahstrehite. They destroyed the statues and set everything around the church ablaze, creating The Reminder

The Conflict

Prelude

King Sumphyr of Wahstrehite was wroth with Wynsumheord ever since he discovered about its existence and the citizens refused to be overtaken by The Wahstrehite Kingdom

Battlefield

Edwistburg was the location of the battle. The inhabitants thereof were completely unaware of what would soon befall them as the sun went down that wretched night. The Mundbyrdians of Edwistburg attempted to defend the settlement, but it was too little too late. There were entirely too many Wahstrehite Knights, and before The Mundbyrdians could realize anything, the entire area was surrounded and there was no time to devise a plan. They could not even properly arm themselves or put on armor before the knights were already pillaging and plundering and burning everything.

Conditions

King Sumphyr of Wahstrehite had warned the inhabitants of Wynsumheord for years and years that he would destroy them if they refused to submit to him. When the other three kings agreed to the Wynsumheord Shall Stand agreement, he never uttered a vow. Instead, he promised to himself and his kingdom that Wynsumheord would surely fall in due time.
