Mantor's Library

Sun-bleached colonnades frame the austere facade of Mantor’s Library, the most prominent institution in Phlan and the largest structure in Scholar's Square. However, it is not only tall; it also has floors deep beneath the ground-level. The deeper levels of the Library are seldom visited, and there are places within hat have not seen the light of a candle in a century.
Mantor’s Library is a busy place and there is always work to be done. To that end, it is known to traveling scribes that the library is an easy place to earn a few coins. The Lord Sage frequently hires such scribes to perform more menial (but ever increasing) tasks such as transcription. In exchange, the library provides room, board and a small stipend.
