Shar, Mistress of the Night

Shar, the Mistress of the Night, is the goddess of darkness, secrets and loss. She is ancient and myth has it that together with her twin sister Selûne, she was created first deities to appear. Shar and her sister Selûne are the opposite, not unlike Yin & Yang, where Shar represents darkness, evil, loss, negativity, secrets and the night. It is from the eternal battles between the sisters that several of the other greater deities emerged. Shar's symbol is a jet black disk with a deep purple border. Her followers are usually acting in secrecy and never in the open; carrying out very dark deeds in the name of their Dark and ultimately evil deity.
