Ang Pasang Tshe-Wang

Warlord Ang Pasang Tshe-Wang (a.k.a. The Many-Daughtered)

In protecting oneself from evil, one may find the mantle of protector a lasting one.

Born to one of the many mountain-faring peoples of the northern Bones, Ang was raised among countless brothers, sisters, and cousins and was an adept climber from an early age. This talent saved his life when raiders came, as they slaughtered everyone they could reach and raided the village for food and supplies. Once sated and rested, the warlord of the band besieged Ang on his tall pillar for nearly a week before hunger and unconsciousness brought him to the ground.

The warlord, honorable in his own twisted mind, offered Ang a place of prestige as one of his most favored wives. Ang, still a child at this point, chose at that very moment to take on the mantle of a man and rebuffed the warlord with a series of profanities and threats that have only grown more considerable in countless retellings. Offended at the word choices if not Ang's flat refusal, the warlord challenged the half-starved young man to a duel on the spot. To everyone's surprise?

Ang slew the warlord in single combat, blessed by the Muses with a remarkable endurance and a refusal to die. Taking command of the raiders, Ang quickly turned around their rapacious ways and turned them into more 'honest' bandits - taking only a small tribute from those they cornered. In times of lacking, the band would even freely give of their loot to hungering villages and needful folk. While far from pure, Ang's raiders quickly grew from a ragtag band into a small nation.

Upon arriving for the first time at the Highrock, Ang was visited with a powerful dream. This alone was not uncommon, but Ang's decision to personally sponsor and protect the Hearth-Handed from that point was unheard of. The protectors of Highrock to that point had sometimes struggled when tributes were light, but now Ang brought them supplies, comforts, and wealth with each coming winter. As patron of the protectors, Ang now stands in high regard among the nations, and through combat, diplomacy, a little romance, and a lot of bragging, now stands in leadership positions of six different tribes.

And all this, by the ripe old age of 19. Over the four years of his reign, Ang has also collected a famous assortment of fifteeen adopted daughters and two sons - each a master of an art, a style of war, or a form of magic, and the Daughters of Ang Pasang are becoming just as storied as their father.
