A Galaxy Far, Far Away represents the pre-prequel canonical Star Wars universe as it is depicted in West End Games' D6 Star Wars rules. The canonical timeline ends at 7 ABY, which coincides with the beginning of Old Enough to Reboot, the campaign set in this universe. Story elements are included from Timothy Zahn's Thrawn trilogy, as well as a number of other sources selected inconsistently depending on whether or not they are cool and contribute to the campaign. In this universe, the Galactic Empire is on the back foot, and the newly-formed New Republic is straining under the stress of having to supplant an existing regime and form a state while fighting off Imperial attempts to regain power.
