The Mechanic is left for dead and abandoned on the planet Anaxes. She survives for months on her own.

Brexia was sent with a repair team to assess the situation in one of the cave caches. Having lost the toss, Brexia had to work from the back of the cave forward, checking the supports. There was a cave-in ahead of her and she was presumed dead by her crewmates when they received the back-to-base call. Brexia was left behind. When Brexia got back to base eight hours later, it had already been abandoned by the Republic Support Corps, with ships already gone. Brexia set about the business of surviving, sure that help would come, eventually.
