House Manderly
House Manderly is noble house who is originally from the Reach. They came to the North over a thousand years ago and established the city of White Harbor. Their seat within the city is the fortress of New Castle. It is the largest city north of the smallest of the 5 major cities in Westeros. The head of House Manderly bears the title "Warden of the White Knife". Their household guard wears cloaks of blue-green wool and carry silver tridents instead of spears.
House Manderly also bears the distinction of being the wealthiest family in the North.
Interestingly enough, House Manderly also follows the Faith of the Seven instead of the Old Gods. Many within White Harbor are also followers of the Seven, with many knights being present in and around the city.
Within White Castle is the Merman's Court which serves as the great hall of the where Lord Manderly holds court and feasts. Its walls, floor, and ceiling are made of wooden planks notched cunningly together and decorated with all the creatures of the sea.
The Wolf's Den is an ancient fortress that now serves as a prison. It is located by the water and adjoins the city walls. Houses cling like barnacles to the walls of the Wolf's Den; one is a brewhouse which makes well-regarded black beer. The godswood of White Harbor is found within the prison's walls.
