Flash Spark

A flash spark is a device usually used in emergency combat situations.  It's a small cylindrical object that is easily concealed in the hand and activated by throwing it upon the ground.
Upon activation, the produces a brilliant flash akin to a flash grenade, blinding anyone looking it's way for several seconds.  A couple of seconds after, it's secondary function activates, sending an a explosive charge high into the sky before igniting, producing another flash that either is seen as a distress signal, or the signal to retreat.
