Banner, Terraria

The banners acquired in Terraria, or through its rules, have buffing powers that affect 500 feet in every direction of a banner. Banners are enemy-specific, and don't generalize. This is a super fun item in my (Viirin) opinion, so I'll give examples:   Banners are dropped by monsters, animals, and whatever else might hurt the Contestant, even if they're the ones that start a fight with an otherwise friendly or neutral creature. There is a banner for Bunnies. However, they only drop at the 50th. If you kill 49 blue slimes, and one green slime, then you don't get a banner for anything. You need that 50th blue slime, and then you'd get a Blue Slime Banner. You'd need another 49 green slimes to get a Green Slime Banner.   If a party of Contestants (who have been to Terraria) kill 49 zombies in Zombieland, and 1 zombie in Night of the Living Dead, no banners are given. These are two different monsters. If 30 Tee Shirt Imps are killed, and 20 Snail Imps are killed, well that's not 50 of anything, is it?   Banner buffs give both +50% damage against the enemy the banner is for, and -25% damage from the enemy the banner is from. If you do 20 damage, then when you're in range of a banner, and attacking the correct enemy, you do 30 damage. It also grants defense, or more accurately a 25% damage debuff against enemies. If it does 20 damage to you, then when you're in range of a banner related to that creature, it does 15 instead. The banners do stack, and the maximum bonus is +100% and -50%.   To be capable of getting a Banner without having been to Terraria, a Contestant only needs to have had the effects of a banner affect them. This happens with or without them knowing.
