Baseball Bat

Found in any pre-industrial or later mundane world that overcares about sports, baseball bats have a few uses, none of which are advertised or officially acknowledged, let alone encouraged. They're really just supposed to be sporting goods.
Wooden and aluminum baseball bats are sold at sporting goods stores, or provided upon joining a team.
Baseball bats altered for combat are possibly more common than the sporting ones, even if they have to be made by hand by each individual, and uses a proper wooden bat as a base. These baseball bats are only made of wood, as aluminum ones require higher technology and more expensive tools and supplies to modify it, and that isn't really something people with combat bats have available.
Bats altered for combat might have barbed wire, razor wire, long nails or screws (preferably bent and rusty), tablesaw blades, or other spikes and / or blades attached. They may also be painted or have additional handle comfort. These toys turned weapons are commonly found in the possession of street thugs, chaotic evil teenagers, mobs, and generally angry people who constantly fear for their safety.
