Cogfoot

A glitch originating in the world of Starbound, Cogfoot originally met Darius when the mercenary was training to be a starship captain at the Protectorate Academy. Quickly becoming a firm friend, the robot later opted to join Darius and Alfonso on their ship as they adventured into the stars, providing a calm, capable presence onboard. He remained on the ship when the father-son duo went down to the planet in Stellaris, inadvertently leaving himself stranded until the party reached Terraria and Darius was able to retrieve him. He continued to travel with the party into the Mad Max universe, finding himself on the wrong end of a Viper's gun when the group were taken hostage. He was shot in the head as an example to the rest of the party of what would happen if they were to resist, an idea that massively backfired on the raiders when the NS5 counterattacked shortly afterwards.
