Fungus, Alchemical

Ultima Online never describes exactly what this fungus is, since magic and alchemy exist and a Greater Cure potion cures whatever it is. Why bother researching what something is if it's bad and you can get rid of it with readily available means?
This fungus could grow on any plant on a world, if plants from Ultima Online are or have been present, or any plant is treated with Ultima Online's alchemy.
Though it may appear at random on any plant, it becomes more likely if the plant has more water than it needs. We don't see this in the wild, but also can't check their stats- the game only lets you see the stats of plants that you own or are at least 'friends' status with the house they're in. You can also only see stats of plants growing in bowls.
So could this appear on crops? Crops exist in Ultima Online but they don't have random changes, they just grow as their seeds say. So, no. This affliction can only affect potted plants.
Might be interesting to get a sample of it and put it in a global plant grower of some variety...
