Habitat Builder, Subnautica

Not able to be purchased directly, but instead provided or crafted from local resources, the Habitat Builder is a small, handheld device that is used to create housing and furniture on exoplanets. This item can only be found in the Subnautica game series.
The device doesn't have any pre-programmed blueprints, and can't be used on its own. But if it is linked to a computing device that has blueprints for furniture, base components, or special rooms, then it can be used to replicate them. As long as the tool user has the resources the blueprint requires, of course.
Making things even easier, if the device is used to create rooms or base components, it automatically links them, as long as they're close enough. Various examples: If you made two circular rooms close together, they'd have a short hallway connecting them. If you created an airlock, it would automatically have a pressure differential. If you had an underwater hallway and attached a trapdoor to it, the hallway wouldn't flood with water. If you constructed a solar panel near a base, it would provide its power to the base remotely.
Damage to the base from monsters or weapons may disable special features. The device only works so long as it still has power in its installed battery.
