Waterbender Soul Knife

At one of the seemingly random points Nexus summoned forth all of the Contestants against their will (as usual), he was taunting everyone. There was a woman wearing a blue dress laying on the ground nearby, and after being antagonized by Sayber, he picked up the woman.
He held out his hand, and the illumination everyone was bathed in began to drain from the woman's feet. She began screaming, and the grayscale continued until she no longer had any light. Nexus dropped her at that point, and she disappeared.
He manifested a blacksmithing anvil, placed the light he had collected on the anvil, and started punching the light over and over.
"You took her soul?" Lynn asked.
Nexus stopped punching the light on the anvil, took Lynn's hand and forced something into it. He stepped back. "No, you did", he said.
