Aether Burn

Being exposed to huge amounts of wild Aether, condensing too quickly, or expulsing too much, leads to Aether Burn. A medical condition that is largely characterized by the damage to the innate ability to condense Aether that humanity has.
The severity of the injury is measured in degrees, and the lesser degrees will heal naturally given time, the more severe degrees can result in serious and permanent reduction in the ability to condense Aether within an individual. This can be healed, somewhat, with physical and magical therapy, but it likely will never operate the same way again.
