Eternal Ice

A self contained construct of ice-aspected Aether, Eternal ice is a notable magical tool that is able to stand up to large amounts of Aetheric energies due to it's own Aetheric density and aspecting.

It's commonly formed into weapons which maintain a sharp edge enough to cut into mundane armors as well as some magical. These weapons were quite popular during the Age following the collapse of the Old Empire, as their edge approached the famed deadly nature of Aetherform weapons, though it does not match it by any means.

Now that much of the melee combat of the past has fallen out of martial favor, Eternal ice weapons have largely been relegated to status symbols, and the use of officers in the armies of nations that exist within winter and atumnlands.

The process is not limited to just weapons, however, and it's not uncommon for pieces of jewelry or magical equipment to be constructed out of it either. jewelry as a further status symbol, and magical equipment for the Eternal Ice's ability to facilitate the direction of magical energies aspected toward ice. It goes without saying that the magical construct does not melt, unless exposed to an equally concentrated amount of an opposing aspect, and even then it would require great effort to truly melt objects made from Eternal Ice.
