The World Tree

Tiamat did not hide that she was not from this world. Her and her kin have less in common with anything we know than fire has in common with water.    She described the existence of other worlds, and showed our ancestors the method through which they could be found and traveled between. The elemental planes are far as we got under our own power, but they proved too inhospitable even to the explorers of the Old Empire.    The Mother of Wyrms explained no further. Nor did she ever elaborate as to where she had come from.
