Inhaduina

The First Author

Inhaduina was the daughter of Gilganamehk, the first Emporer of the Ancient Dwarven Empire and Highpriestess for the duration of his reign. She is not only the first but remained one of the very few women in power through the millennia-spanning reign of the Ancient Dwarven Empire. The exact circumstances of her appointment are unclear. Still, experts speculate it was an attempt by the Gilganamehk to concentrate positions of power in his family to cement is power after having united all the Dwarven Clans into the first empire.   The role of Highpreistess was mainly ceremonial, fulfilling a diverse set of ritualistic roles and religions of the ancient dwarfs. History would remember Inhaduina for her extensive writing. Among historians, she is widely regarded as the "First Author" as no text from the material plane has been found that predates any of her writings. Due to her religious position, the post of her writings occupied themself with hymns & poems with moral teaching at their core. Some of her writing also recorded the life and work of her father, most likely as part of a massive propaganda initiative at the time to legitimize the rule of Gilganamehk.   One of her most famous works is a collection of rules, etiquette, and advice aimed at the education of young nobles. The text is written in a plain and simple tone appropriate for the target audience. This simplicity allowed scholars to use it as a starting point to decipher and understand the language of the Ancient Dwarven Empire. As such, her work remains one of the most cited sources in this field of study.
