Holy Silver

Hearing news of the Prophets landfall, Modean hastily marched east, intent on crushing the new attackes befor they could reeinforce Siris. He had however underestimated the size of the encroaching group. Somewhere in the empty lands of what would one day be called Caerne, he was beaten, barely escaping with his life.
From then on the floodgates were open. Warbands marched deeper and deeper into the Reach and with a steady stream of ships arriving in Siris, they begun to overwhelm the widespread Rhovarin. For 5 years Modean desperately tried to defend his realm from these invaders. Eight times he beat the Feran's under the walls of his capital, again and again the southerners would merely retreat and come back with larger numbers. Then in late 849 DA their numbers proved just too large. Modean fell, his army was shattered, his city burned. The Rhovarin were driven north into the hills, they're kingdom ceased to exist.
On the ruins of Rhovar, the fallen kingdoms capital, they founded the city of Verdal. A new capital for a new kingdom and age. An age the Prophet would not see however. On the 31st of Novem, Vodarn the Prophet, he who had led the Ferans to their promised land, died in the newly founded city.
1st Kingdom (851 - 1076 DA)
On the 13th of the ninth month, Ledrik Oakenshield, noblest and most powerful of the Feran lords was choosen as King, as the Prophet had decreed, that only under one banner they would succeed. At first the newly formed High Kingdom of Feranar (after the continent which they claimed), at first, only encompassed the lands of the Rhovarin and the wild reaches of Caerne. And while Ledrik set about ordering the newly conquered lands, news came from the west.
