Unstoppable Bleeding

Causes

This is an unnatural effect created by certain weapons or spells, especially those created by Harbinger Arms.

Symptoms

When a creature suffers from Unstoppable Bleeding, it must make a vigor roll at the start of its next turn. If it fails, it suffers 1 level of fatigue.   Subsequent bleed effects will stack, with a -2 to the vigor roll for each stack already in place.

Treatment

Despite the name, an Unstoppable Bleed can be stopped with a successful heal skill roll (golden hour restriction does not apply) A single successful heal will be needed for each stack of bleed. Raises to the healing attempt will heal an additional stack per raise.

Prognosis

If incapacitated, the victim of Unstoppable Bleeding is automatically considered to be Bleeding Out and it should be treated as such, with the exception that a successful vigor roll does not result in stabilization.  A successful roll only prolongs the death result until an actual healing attempt can be performed.
