Seneschal Lucan Ostoroth

A middle aged half-elf, Lucan is the Seneschal of Castle Ward. He is considered the second-most-powerful person in Haven.
In his capacity as Seneschal, Lucan has complete control over Castle Ward, and acts as the liaison between the Duchess and the High Marshal. Additionally, the seneschal can veto the nomination of any application to the post of High Marshal of the The Shieldwardens.
When a seneschal dies or retires, the Commandant of the Haven Guard chooses his replacement from among the leadership of the Shieldwardens. Typically the Shieldwardens’ High Warden becomes the new seneschal, although a promising junior officer occasionally leapfrogs into the limited but powerful position.
