Sylvia is the proprietor of The House of Serenity, and almost entirely responsible for the bordello's success.
She pays clerics to screen and treat her staff, ensuring everyone who works for her is hale and healthy. To encourage her employees, she pays well, and takes care of those who retire. Anyone who is no longer able to work as escorts can remain in her employ in the kitchens, washing clothes and bed sheets, or keeping rooms clean. Those who retire receive a small pension to pay for room and board for years after they leave. As a result, Sylvia has her pick of the best in the city.
