Conqueror's Path

Stretching from the Coast of Glass all the way through to Hattokar's Sea, The Conqueror's Path is the single most significant land route in all the world. Allowing for Caravans of those on pilgirimages, armies on manuevers or for humble merchants who lack the coin necessary to charter a ship and pay the tolls of The Narrows.

Construction

Under the Reign of Benalon I Ulanala

Benalon order the construction begin during the early years of his terrible wars of conquest. In 529, while negotiating the terms with the the Confederacy of The Frensari, Benalon would order the extension of the old roads Rudoran roads to Amanora. After the Confederacy had been fully brought into the fold, the Path was extended to their new western borders.

While construction would continue throughout the later years of the conquests, Benalon would order the suspension of further construction beyond western fringes of the Hunolduran Plains on the approaches to the Vales of Horakh-Dhrum as costs of the protracted campaigns against the Kirshani and the Dwarves had slowly began to bleed what little was left of the empires coffers.

Under the Reign of Itham Ulanala

Following several years of succesful tax reforms, Itham would order the expansion ofseveral key routes to the Conqueror's Path in the year 574, finally providing an unbroken land connection from Hattokar's Sea all the way to the Great Dorei.

In addition to these expansions, large sums of gold were invested in the maintenance of existing Kirshani and Rudoran roads and bridges. Itham would call the path complete in the harvest season of 580.
