The Great Everdow River

The largest river on the Azure Coast, stretching over 650 miles inland from its outlet at Port Verlin to its source in the XXX Mountains. The wider Great Everdow river system is a particularly rich trading corridor, with tributaries and the main course linking the regional metropolis of Port Verlin with the natural resources of the Dreadwood Forest, the Goblin Hills, and points further inland.
Given its size, numerous communities have sprung up along the Great Everdow that focus various riverine industries, often developing unique social and cultural practices that separate them from communities on shore. These include groups like the log drivers of Forestguard who ride trains of floating timbers down to the shipyards of West Verlin, goblin scrap-clans out of Mogwok that fish out and recycle materials cast off into Everdow, and the Widhanz, a group of interrelated merchant families whose bargestores provide smaller farming and ranching communities with access to a range of more exotic goods.
