The Grand Duke of Baldur's Gate is known as an honorable and forthright man. Rising through the ranks of the flaming fist as a soldier, he now oversees the great city and seems to be steering it to a better future. Though no man is immune to the thralls of politics.
He had gone on a diplomatic mission to Elturel at the behest of both Thavius Kreeg and Thalmara Vanthampur. Unfortunately this led to him being dragged down to hell with the city. He took up a position as the leader of a human resistance in the High Hall but eventually ventured to the Grand Cemetery in the western section to both quell undead uprisings and find a lost holy relic.

A fearless soldier of great charisma. Ulder is the single most powerful figure in Baldur's Gate. As both the Grand Duke and Leader of the Flaming Fist, he is not the most popular figure among other politicians, yet he still rules strongly and to many personifies egalitarianism. Despite this many find that his golden ideals end up empty when faced with the bureaucracy and back room dealings of the Baldur's Gate Elite. As they say, the high road is the hard road.
