Insight Park

A garden of lush beauty seemingly sprouting out of nowhere in one of the poorer regions of Baldur's Gate. It is home to Torimesh the Druid and the famous Insight Tree, and stands as a testament that the beauty of nature is not only for the rich. And some say, if you're lucky, the insight tree that stands there can tell your future.

Alterations

After meeting Torimesh at the Nymphs Rest Bathhouse, the party decided to visit the park. Upon doing so they met with the druid Torimesh and through some conversation managed to spur him to read them a group fortune from the insight tree. The results of which were, as the dwarf put it, jumbled and unclear. But one thing was for certain, before them was a great destiny mixed in a cobweb of fates from all corners of the multiverse. And while the potential for great fortune and glory could potentially be found ahead of them, Torimesh warned them that tied in with their destiny was the potential for a grim future he could not exactly understand at the time. His most clear words were this: be wary, yet vigilant. And hold fast to your ideals. And if your resolve is weak, strengthen it. For no weak willed mortal has every stood the test of fate.

History

For a long time the area that is now Insight Park was a landfill where all peoples of Baldur's Gate dumped their waste, in 1452 DR the Dward Torimesh arrived home in Baldur's Gate after decades of adventuring, and used Druidic magics to sprout a beautiful garden over-top of the trash heap. This garden became his home and one of the landmarks of Baldur's gate. Many say that when Torimesh pulls bark from the insight tree, he can read the patterns in the sap to tell your fortune.
