The Companion

A whirring ball of energy that sits above Elturel. It appeared over the city in 1444 DR when the High Overseer Thavius Kreeg made a deal with the Archdevil Zariel to rid the lands of vampire spawn. The companions light protected Elturel for 50 years, until one day in 1494 when it swallowed Elturel whole and dragged it to the Nine Hells.
