At one point in the past, Ruler's dream was to become the Final Champion. During his time as a rookie, he had crossed paths with Žena Soum, who ended up with the knowledge of something that Ruler does not wish to be revealed. He once went to the Old Star and grew adapted to its erratic environment. As time went by, though, he grew in power and experience and lost sight of the importance of dreams and trust in other people. However shortly after ascending to the rank of Ultimate Champion in his mid-twenties, he suffered a humilating defeat upon challenging Emperor Ridiculam, which brought an abrupt end to his dream of being the Final Champion. Sixteen years before the current storyline, at age 30, Ruler relocated to Saalaha and became renowned as a outlaw-hunting hero. The Birth of Lavadite N Co Ruler secretly started a crime syndicate called Lavadite N Co. Being careful not to attract too much attention to himself, he gathered some of the best bounty hunters in the world and gave them code names based on power. His plan the whole time was to conquer Saalaha and use the Validus Relic there to find the ancient weapon Ender Hammer, which would give him great military power. It is known that he found Cremo Calami when she was 24, at which point he made a deal with her. He would protect her and give her sanctuary from the authorities, and in return, she would be his business partner, decipher the Validus Relic, and find the location of Ender Hammer. He believes that you should only trust yourself and that forming bonds only means that you’ll lose them later. He’s selfish, manipulative, uncompromising, flashy, over the top, loud, talkative, greedy, ruthless, dishonest and determined.
