Embla's Love Letter

Dear Adventurer,   I am informally inviting you to a private meeting on the outskirts of the kingdom, within the 'Craven Crow' tavern within the village known as Ebertin. Please note that this meeting is private, and any mention of this anybody, including your little friends, is forbidden.
- The first paragraph written by Princess Embla Grace.
Mere weeks before the 20th year of Modern Lands, a hand-written letter was informally sent to a famed adventurer known as Clara the Brave, detailing the meeting between her and the sender, the eldest Princess of the Grace family's most recent generation, Embla Grace. This letter was sent via a carrier pigeon, with a commoner's seal to prevent any onlookers, both of the kingdom and of the criminal lifestyle, from wanting to steal or survey it. It had reached Clara two days later, which she gladly accepted. She took the letter with her, and went to the location mentioned within the first paragraph, being known as the 'Craven Crow', a low-budget tavern, which only sold cheap drinks including ale. Embla had taken numerous weeks to send the letter, due to her embarrassment over the whole ordeal. She tried to hide it through a façade of not caring much over the scenario, but this was easy to break, especially for Clara.
As the eldest princess, Embla was given a very valuable role in the Graceswift kingdom as the next in line to the title of Queen for a kingdom. She barely goes out and does her own things, often relying on communication through carrier pigeons. So to harbour such feelings make her furious with herself. Especially with somebody like Clara. She has no idea how her family would perceive her after these feelings are made public. Clara however, would be very proud of her relationships, and often boasted about them during her battles. Embla made very clear on her letter that this would be forbidden if they had formed a relationship.

I never thought I would feel this aboout anyone. I never thought I'd even get the chance to. Yet here I am, sleepless in my nights, thinking about you. It is for this reason that I must speak with you. For, if I do, it may finally rid my mind of these impure thoughts.

- Near the end of Embla's letter
The meeting arranged from the letter went underway, but instead of Embla losing these thoughts, they only seemed to grow. The tavern was almost completely empty upon Clara's entrance, mainly due to the low-lives of the local area either owing her money or being second-rate thugs. It made for their interaction to be much more calming for them both, where they could discuss Embla's feelings. Alas, Embla could not rid her mind of her thoughts, and even managed to make Clara think of them as well. They had spent the rest of the day together, until late night. The two journeyed from the tavern to the local forest, and showcased the princess to areas that she may not have even thought of to exist, including dens, lairs of small monsters, and open glades. Alas, Embla had to leave back for home, not for a time to be in bed, but instead to make sure she wasn't grumpy in the morning. And so Clara had escorted her back to the castle, and even scaled the walls to her bedroom so that nobody knew of her disappearance. Although Embla could not rest, and so Clara stayed. She stayed for about an hour, telling her of wondrous stories of hers before the Princess slept.

The Recipient, Clara the Brave

A leader of an adventuring party, Clara the Brave is a half orc adventurer from a small town in Graceswift. Clara was born into a guild of small-time adventurers. She had taken a keen interest to everything that a lifestyle like hers could offer. The tavern-brawls, slaying of monsters, and winning bounties was what she deemed as 'Heaven On Earth'. Due to being born into a life of adventuring, Clara did not spend her youth within schools, mage towers, or libraries. But where she lacks intelligence, she makes up for with brute strength and raw charisma. Clara holds a powerful greatsword which channels fire through it's centre piece, able to illuminate, and cause searing burns on enemies. Clara herself an control this flame, and even make it die down to a small cinder, only capable of keeping the blade warm. She wears the jacket of her old master, in honour of his sacrifice for her survival when she was young. However, due to her being much taller than he was, she has had to make alterations so that she still may wear it.
Clara is the head of a party. She is their muscle, but often declares herself as quite smart, often to the annoyance by the mage, Michaela, but due to Clara being much stronger than her, she usually just nods along. There is also a druid in her party, being a Chitine called T'theck. He is the newest member of the party, but Clara simply calls him 'Bug-boy' due to having only met recently. There were many other members to the party, but they were either kicked out, killed, or lost upon the constant journeys Clara embarks on.
