Fishing Skill

The Fishing Skill is used to make catch fish some of which offer an array of bonuses to those who eat them. For simplicity's sake, the available fish are always available, no matter what the water (salt or fresh) is.
DC Table
0 Junk
5 Common
10 Uncommon
12 Rare
15 Super Rare
17 Mythical
20 Legendary
After an hour of fishing, a Fishing check is rolled to determine what was fished up. There are different tiers of what kind of fish can be pulled up, with varying DCs. Fishing can not be taken 10, much less 20, on. Depending on what DC you reach, you may roll a d100 to determine what you fished up. If you roll high enough, you may opt to roll on a lower tier chart. For example, if you rolled a 25 you would normally catch an uncommon fish, however if you want a common fish you may instead roll on the common fish table.
Action
Fishing takes 1 hour, (600 full consecutive rounds). If interrupted a character must restart the fishing check, which takes another hour. If the character is interrupted but has at least 5 ranks in Survival, then they may resume their fishing as long as they return before the hour is up. They may not in this time begin another fishing check unless they abandon their current line.
Try Again
No. If you fail a fishing check you may not retry the check. You may attempt a new fishing check if desired.
Special
Aquatic species (and those with a swim speed) gain a +2 Racial Bonus on Fishing checks.
On the beach or at sea, a Fishing check may be used in place of a Survival check to "get along in the wild".
Depending on the environment, it is possible that a fishing character triggers a random encounter while reeling in.
Synergy
If you have 5 or more ranks in any sea related Profession, you gain a +2 bonus on Fishing checks.
If you have 5 or more ranks in Survival, you gain a +2 bonus on Fishing checks.
If you have 5 or more ranks in Swim, you gain a +2 bonus on Fishing checks.
Untrained
Fishing may be done untrained, but only fish up to common may be fished without training.
