Hymns of Malus, the Charred Colossus

Calling out onto the lands, as the Coalition fought, they could hear the sound of worship, the sound of divinity. They spoke of fire and eruption, of decay and death. It spelt the end for many, as it were the Hymns of Malus, a chant organised by the Draconians that fought in the first fight of the Total Draconic War.

- Statement from Etrigan's Memorial, dedicated to the Coalition's Remembrance programme, 21 ML.
Zorpindral, the Draconian General that had led the humanoid armies that were in service to the Charred Colossus, had a sense of tenacity with his engagements upon the battlefield. Being a powerful draconian, Zorpindral was feared from his appearance alone, but his actions were able to magnify this fear. He was always a fanatic when it came to instilling fear into his opponents and allies alike. One way he did this was through the use of a War Council. Bladeblossomers, a term for those that graft swords into their very being, through magical plants and vines, had been established as a deadly subdivision within Malus' armies. They made for harrowing foes, and when Zorpindral taught them the draconic songs of destruction, they were known as reapers of the battlefield.
The Songs of Destruction had been used within the context of the Hymns of Malus, a construct of stories of the Charred Colossus' endeavours and conquests upon Aitso. The first verse, and often the last, from the relative quickness of the fights involving these elite warriors, lists a selection of powerful individuals of legend that have fallen to Malus, throughout the last few centuries. It goes on in detail on how the stories of the future will not remember their foes as powerful, but as mere stepping stones to the new age.
