King's Contender Tournament
Ladies, Gentleman, Cursed, and anything I forgot to mention... welcome to the King's Contender Arena! All picked out by our famed Inquisitors, you seem to have the requirements, to lead this nation after I die. My time in this land is over, it is of no concern to me anymore. If you stand as the victor, you will be blessed with the rank of King! The King's Contender is a legendary event that has happened only once, and will only occur once in all of history. In the kingdom of Scyllia, Old King Miltos had no children, or other heir. He was truly alone, and so he'd enlist his renowned personal military to kidnap many warriors, nobles, and other combatants to be brought to the Soaring Vanguard of Scyllia. This battle occurred on the new year of 8 FL, a hundred contestants unwillingly plucked from around the Multiverse. Each was positioned upon pedestals of magical origin, and placed within the Soaring Vanguard. The battle had begun, each contestant given their usual weapons, stripped of their magic for a limited period. Not only this, but the Soaring Vanguard was littered with arcane items too.
Good luck to all, and remember, this land is unforgiving, remember to play to your strengths, they are why you are here, after all. Farewell!- Old King Miltos, with his opening speech.
Once the game began, many people would fall, and those who'd survive the first 10 minutes were most likely in groups. The winning contestant, Belda Doomwhisk, was situated in a trio group, with Bup and Thaquorous. People such as the late Storm Tsar, Gilgrute would form an unspoken alliance with the Glabrezu which went by the name Kystiokh. Throughout the challenge, people such as Thaquorous would end up acquiring ancient artefacts such as Banulele's Trident, belonging to an old Locatahn Prince.
Within the dusk of the event, many survivors would be left in small groups, hidden out in the different islands of the Soaring Vanguard. Many found the next while quite dangerous, with very few sources of food, water, yet a large quantity of items and shelter. Some argued against the King's Contender Tournament for this, 5 people had passed from starvation or thirst. Figures that had no requirement of this, such as The Angry had thrived on killing the weakened, using their abilities for itself.
Later on in the night, all that was left was the 3 successors, Gilgrute, Kystiokh, as well as a few others. The Angry was one of the few who had failed, yet managed to escape with it's life. Gilgrute would be first to fall, challenging the 3 with his greatsword made of a glacier. Through a long battle, he'd be slain by the hands of Thaquorous, ending up with a large hole in his body. Although, Bup and Belda would journey into the centrepoint of the Soaring Vanguard, to defeat Kystiokh. After a long battle, and the loss of Belda's hand, Bup would land the killing blow to Kystiokh, kicking him off of the floating landmass, to his death. As the final 3 survivors, they would be given the decision to either surrender, or vote for somebody else in the group to be the next leader. Thaquorous declined, deciding to leave onto his own path once again, whereas Bup voted for Belda, and Belda would've voted for Thaquorous, which'd result in Doomwhisk becoming the new Queen.

Casualties
The only loss known of was Belda's left hand, which was severed by Kystiokh.
Both would end up dying, Kystiokh returning to the Infinite Layers of the Abyss whereas Gilgrute, the Storm Tsar, would find himself in the afterlife of giants.
Objectives
At first, all they wanted to do was survive, and escape. However, Belda and Bup, after winning, would want to make sure such a cruel event would not occur again.
The Duo's main concern wasn't to rule this newfound land, but instead was just to make sure that no force could rival their own, for later wars between Scyllia and their respective areas, and also for entertainment.
