Messengers of the Courts

"The Courts of Colmar have requested for the presence of King Marhault, of the Graceswift Court, for the dinner to celebrate the formation of the Necrotic School of Arts. It is not required for his consort to come with him, but it will be, as the Colmar court stated... 'Fun enough for two of them',"

Messengers to the Courts is a profession made specifically for those in the highest positions of the Courts of Colmar , Graceswift, as well as the other surrounding areas. These messengers rally information, requests, and invitations for them, in place of regular messengers as well as carrier pigeons. They were a very defensive group of people, often guarding the messages they carried to the grave. Often, travelling thieves and bandits would try to take their information to twist the Courts in their favour. This only worked a few times, before all of the messengers began to carry weaponry with them. The common examples were longbows and halberds, but there was one certain messenger who had used a powder rifle, often taking out bandits before they even saw him. 

They were in use for hundreds of years, before the weakening of many of the courts, albeit Graceswift. As an offer, Graceswift would become the dominant kingdom, over the entire stretch of land, to which all of the other courts had to agree to. Thus, the messengers had no more purpose as the information would be spread across them all in a much more balanced, efficient way. With this, the messengers had revolted, originally, but after some time, they had come to an agreement to simply become warriors for the Graceswift kingdom, and all of it's areas. These people had become the first Syrs of Graceswift , and would be seen as much more than just a person to carry message, soon becoming a message themselves, a message of hope.

Timothar, Vengeful Messenger

Timothar was a peaceful Orc working for one of the courts, he had often gone on the same path, delivering valuable messages of future events, and even treasures at a point. His acts were soon caught upon by the eyes of a frightful group of bandits who were exiled from the Court that he worked with. As an act of retribution, the bandits would stalk Timothar, and soon attack him, both rendering one of his eyes useless, as well as stealing his message. This message would have been used to safe the life of a Graceswift noble, but because of his attack, the noble had sadly passed. Timothar was beyond rage for these people. He had gone to one of the other courts, and found himself in the possession of a rifle. He'd hunt down all of the bandits, and after their deaths, only then could he get back to his job. Since then and until the end of being a Messenger of the Courts, Timothar would prowl the messenger pathways on his journeys, often taking out other bandits and thieves before they would even see him.
