Pharos Fenestra, the Floating Island
"Dragonkin, that is where the ones around here are from. Half dragon, half human. Most are savage warriors, serving as assassins for the dragons, but not Lans. She's different, somehow,"Pharos Fenestra is a small island that remains airborne, in connection to the Ancient City. An offspring, which is fitting due to the purpose of the island. Pharos Fenestra is used by the powerful dragons of the Ancient City in order to raise mindless Dragonkin, capable of fighting with humans in a way an average dragon may not be capable of. An amalgamation of horros between both species. They are genetically close to Dragonborn more than Half-Dragons and other draconic species, with their furthest relatives being the Draconian. Malus, the Charred Colossus, saw the Dragonkin to their key purpose to his schemes, and would allow for Pharos herself, a White Dragon, to have her own region to control, similar to Vorbile, the Desecrator , and his island.- Sistrola Thasnavi, Ancient Brass Dragon.
The floating island is made up of ruins, similar to the Ancient City. It may have resembled either an old Fort, Outpost, or Keep, when it was once a part of the ground below. The ruins and their underground levels are filled with Dragonborn eggs, both used for hatching Dragonkins to be manipulated by Malus and Pharos into becoming mindless killing machines, or food for both the hatched Dragonkin to feed on, as well as the more powerful dragons. The tunnels and basement levels stretch to the lowest points of the islands, filled in halls of sandstone pillars, lit aflame. Most Dragonkin come from the twisted altercations done by Pharos herself, including done to Lanzeaxe. The reasons as to how she became Neutral Good are still unknown.
Pharos Fenestra remains one of the only places that Malus journey to, outside of the Ancient City, without the means of conquering or other vile acts on those below. He comes here to feast upon the Wyrmitite found within Pharos Fenestra, along with the devouring of any dragonborn eggs he deems to look tasty enough. A certain Dragonkin had once saved a White Dragonborn egg, and would be the reason as to why a hero to Aitso would still be alive, to the point of Malus' defeat.
Geography
The region above land on the floating island is primarily comrpomised of dirt, sand, and walkways that become broken and jagged. The most similar natural location to this one would be plains. Along with being the ruins of a former, long-forgotten civilization, which means there is plenty of ruins of old temples, halls, and homes, all of which made of marble and stone, there is very little access to materials needed for a humanoid race to survive. Water here is dirty, and contaminated with plenty of diseases. At the centre of the island, there is a series of gemstones and crystals, gigantified due to the altitude they are presented at, mainly being Wyrmitite, a gemstone used to augment the size of a dragon. Many of these are harvested and devoured by Malus, which is how he has gotten his titanic size without becoming a Greatwyrm.
Ecosystem
With dragons being dominant with the forces here, they mostly lounge around Pharos Fenestra, and offer little to no aid to the Dragonkin that work along with the hatcheries upon the island. For food, dragonkin often hunt any sky-based predators that do not know of the dangers of the Ancient City. They also are fed by some of the forager wyrms, that bring food to the Dragons. All they can afford to devour is the scraps, lest they wish to become food themselves.
Pharos Fenestra is also known for it's gargantuan chains that bind it to both The Ancient City, along with the ground below, having delved deep underwater. These chains can be seen from most regions of the Thevagon Isles, but the island itself is too far into the sky to be determined to be the end of these chains with the naked eye. The chain is rumoured to be close to the underwater city of Sharanthis.
Ashfang, a Young Red Dragon, who had attacked the realm beneath known as Chthonia alongside some other weak wyrms, was a dragon who had lived on Pharos Fenestra. He was always trying to make himself seem more powerful to Malus, and figured that to impress Pharos would be his greatest point of action. Living in Pharos Fenestra bored him, however. The pursuit of battle and bloodlust brought him to the Forgotten Gods, where him and his allies were massacred. The only thing he gained for both himself, Malus, and the Ancient City as a whole, was a new, rather powerful enemy. Pharos always found him to be irritable, annoying, and a disgrace to both Red Dragons and the might of a dragon living in the Ancient City, his death brought her no sorrow.
