Verisol Continent

Description of the Verisol Continent, one of the most southern continent of Abolar.

Geography

The continent have several numbers of large forests in the north side of the continent and along its shores. In the center there's a desert of orange sand that extends in all directions. A few savannas are found in the desert. Across the continent pass the Hlavor's Ridge, a huge mountain range that separates the east and west regions of the continent. to the south there's pine trees and evergreen forests and even more southern is found several tundras. Some hills are found, both in forests and in the desert, but mostly on desert lands. The tundra regions are mostly rocky with under-wood plant life. All kinds of animals can be found here, from small insects to gargantuan creatures like dragons. The weather have some consistency among its regions, having warm, dry days or rainy, cold days in the forests regions, depending on the time of the year. In the desert, the days are hot and dry while the night are chilling cold. In the south, the weather is rainy or snowy, having rare periods of clearness. The frozen temperature and the snow and ice are constant here. The landscape have many rocky hills and elevations in comparison to the rest of the continent.

Fauna & Flora

Being known as the land of the trees, the Verisol continent has many forests and jungles were a myriad of plant and animal species live. With large, complex ecologic systems, life is thriving in this continent. Life in the woods is also dangerous. Many predators develop strong weapons, accurate senses and clever tactics to catch their prey, as well as preys developed strong defenses against said predators. Both normal and magical beasts make this continent their home, further expanding the diversity found.

Natural Resources

Having so many jungles, wood is abundant across the land as well as rock from the Hlavor's Ridge. Water is, also, easily found in the same ridge, in the forests to the north and the trunda to the south. Almost a little bit of everything can be found in the continent.
