Personal history

Aranthus spent his teen years a thief. Not with the guild mind you but with a mentor, Ralxes. They would spend their days pilfering artefacts for mysterious benefactors. On one job Aranthus was sticken by the desire to take the book they'd been sent after for himself. So he did. 
Overcome by greed he hit his master over the back of the head and fled, leaving him dying in the library they had broken into. For days after something felt off the Aranthus and no matter what he did he could not bring himself to read the book. Eventually he ended up leaving it on the desk of a normal city library and running to the Temple to Sight  to seek forgiveness.
He has found himself, since, cursed by, he presumes, Sight for his betrayal. He has found himself no longer able to doubt someone's intentions when they speak with him rendering him rediculously trusting and naive.
He has found himself harried by Leonard Glibson; a journalist who is investigating the series of events that lead Aranthus to his new position and is on to him. Aranthus is trying desperately to avoid him with Oryn Heggart's help who squirrels him away whenever he comes into the temple.
Aranthus admires the work that Airis Alinas is doing and would love to find some way to contact him and help.
