Additional Information
Uses, Products & Exploitation
Its pollen has a lovely sweet flavour and is sometimes used as a sweetener for signature alcohols of the region, particularly the expensive ones. Consuming the seeds or residuum from them can cause the more more magically oriented to experience drowsiness, temporary paralysis and even comas so the pollen needs to be carefully harvested to avoid such unwanted effects.
Its petals can, often infused into an oil, be used to suppress magical auras without limiting the effects. To harvest the petals for such a purpose they mustn't touch the skin of anyone who has cast magic, been subject to magic or has magical ancestry so most of the time it is harvested with metal tools and kept in a sealed container until required for infusing.
Scientific Name
