Haines Lafayette
Haines Lafayette (b. 2368 IA) is a Unionist civilian, though he lives in the borderlands beyond the borders of the Union. Born a Corbrayan in the Corbrayan Imperial Colony, he was orphaned when he was only 5 years old. He managed to survive on the streets and proved himself a genius with the sword.
When the Corbray Pacification Decree was issued in 2387 IA, Haines went underground to avoid capture by the Imperial forces. He joined the fledgling Corbray Union early in its history and fought through the entirety of the First Imperial-Union War.
He was known to be close to the early Unionist leader Tonti Rocheblave . After Rocheblave's assassination in 2392 IA, he swore revenge against those he believed to be involved, and he took credit for many killings of Imperial officials in the following year. Riopelle Fulcher put a high bounty on Haines's head. The bounty was never claimed, despite many attempts, and Fulcher was assassinated himself in 2393 IA.
Following the establishment of the Union, Haines withdrew from public eye. He lived in the capital for several years, but he eventually adopted a nomadic lifestyle, which he maintains to the modern day. He makes contact with Explorations officers on an irregular basis.
